FAQ

Brother MFC Troubleshooting

Solutions for common formatting and printing errors.

Which tray should I use on my Brother MFC?

Always use the Manual Feed Slot (Bypass tray) rather than the bottom cassette. It provides a straight paper path, preventing crinkled cheques.

How should I orient the cheque in a Brother MFC?

Place the cheque face-up with the top edge (date side) entering the printer first. Since it’s a laser printer, the toner will dry instantly.

Why is the text printing outside the boxes?

This happens when your browser print scale is not set to 100%. Open ‘More Settings’ in the Chrome print dialog and ensure scaling is ‘Default’ or ‘100%’.

Can I print multiple cheques at once?

We strongly recommend printing cheques one at a time. Small cheque leaves easily stick together, leading to severe paper jams.
